ResonanceFM interview with Sean Worrall for The Organ hour

Last night me and Tinsel were interviewed on Resonance FM about our 'Opinionated Objects' (AKA Trash to Treasure) event at Debut Contemporary this Saturday.

Sean was great at interviewing. As an artist himself he asked really relevant questions that made us feel at ease (as we were nervous!) and we chattered away happily in the end! We havent heard it back yet but Sean has said a podcast will be available soon, so when it is I will post links up in case anyone wants to go and have a listen.

Here is a pic of us being interviewed, although I am not sure what we are doing!

Resonance FM frequesncy is 104.4fm or you can go to their website http://www.resonancefm.org/. Also to read more about Sean you can go to his website www.organart.com/

Twinkle and Tinsel: Trash to Treasure!

On July 30th myself and Tinsel will be occupying the Debut Contemporary Gallery in West London for out Opinionated Objects event.

We are asking for people to bring us their unwanted objects from home that we can recycle into pieces of art. We are doing this by also asking people to tell us a hope or dream they have for the future, either on a personal scale or globally and we will paint this onto the unwanted object, turning it into an object of hope.

In exchange we are going to be asking people for a donation which will go to The Ubuntu Education Fund who are dedicated to bettering the lives of children effected by HIV in South Africa www.ubuntufund.org

Here is me and Tinsel posing ever so casually in our recycled shirts which we created for the press release. The shirts were bought from a charity shop and in our own individual styles painted our own hopes for the future on the shirts.

Twinkle and Tinsel with some of their hopes and wishes for the future of the planet
Twinkle: ‘Feel the pain of others and love thy neighbour as thyself ’
Tinsel: ‘I wish that all humans were pacifists’

We are busy at the moment trying to let everyone know about what we are up to as we want to try and do our best for The Ubuntu Fund but also to create something people will want to come and both take part in and be inspired by what other people wish and hope for.

If you are interested please do email us at opinionatedart@hotmail.co.uk and we'll send you all the info you need to take part! We can also send the press release or Jpegs of press shots if you are interested in featuring us or helping us to spread the word!

We've had a couple of interviews so far too. One with Zeigeist Magazine yet to be published and one with Art Rebels which you can read here: http://artrebels.com/blog/2011/07/05/get-up-get-out-make-a-difference/
